January came and the first trimester is still a blur for all of us. We got our first residency with Casa Florida and Selina Miami River, and the response was overwhelming at times but so rewarding. We shot two episodes of our ‘Not A Radio Show’ with IZQ and DiMarë. We released three DJ set tracks under Beats On The House with Diego, Brother Bunter and Knowah. And suddenly a group of friends that shared a passion for music started hosting Refresh On The House every single Thursday, the connections we made there are forever part of us. Knowing how rough the Miami music scene can be, with so many iconic venues bringing pure talent on a daily basis, we still pushed through and made Thursdays a (fresh) thing.

March was ending when we had the pleasure to throw our first event for Miami Music Week alongside Victoria and Xcapé, we got to build our first stage, sell tickets, and get live performers. Followed by our first day time party MINT ME where we shot an unreleased ‘Not A Radio Show’ (send us a DM if you want us to release it) and watch the sunset while contemplating what was gonna be our infamous last event: Refresh Farewell Edition. Yes, do you remember the little house filled with smoke, scarlet lights and zombies? We truly ate that!

By the third trimester all of our DJs at MOTH were playing everywhere in Miami, but it was time to slow down a bit and reconnect. So we decided to go to NYC to see Keinemusik, Desiree and throw our first event outside South Florida. Selina and Music For A While made us feel right at home, and our SOLD OUT - MINT U event was the cherry on top to an epic 4th of July. This trip was so special that we had to make a vlog out of it with two episodes of REC & ROLL. Wait, does that mint we are influencers now? F** that S**!

We got the pleasure to create our second Spotify Playlist by popular demand Fresh Tunes Friday, and we finally stepped foot in ZeyZey. This venue is not only special for its sound system and aesthetic, but it’s definitely a hidden gem in Miami. We collaborated with our MIA FM fam, and possessed by the CircoLoco spirit we covered most of the windows red, the MOTH sign was glowing like a flame and things got moist. We felt so accomplished that MINTnoTRACE was born and in order to cool everyone off we sent them a location through DMs. The beach was our scenario and once again our Minty Family came together to clean up the environment while tunes were blasting by YOURS TRULY.

Our final chapter started with our return to Proyecto Tulum with our Refresh Homecoming Edition. Bringing the fam together and adding up new members, which always feels great. But because not everything always goes as planned, we sadly got our second event at ZeyZey post-poned, we’ll send a free MOTH fan to the first person guessing why that happen, HA. Once again it was time for our yearly tradition and we embarked ourselves back to CircoLoco NYC. We can’t say much about this (the first rule of fight club is?), just roll the footage back!

We are ending this year not really knowing what’s next. We were able to accomplish so much in twelve months that right now everything feels possible and impossible at the same time, do you know what we MINT? That’s why ending this chapter with a Holiday Edition of Beats On The House makes sense. The same familiar faces of MOTH, playing tunes from their homes to yours every week. A beautiful call back to IZQ playing and recording “My House Is Your House” from his room.
